OUR STAR CAT
Our current star cat is BRUNO
Bruno, affectionately known as Mr Bru, has been with us for nineteen months. He is the most adorable chap you could ever wish to meet. As soon as he hears the key opening the gate, he's up looking out of the window, ready to meet his carer. His eyes sparkle, and you just have to kiss and cuddle him before you do anything else.
So why is he still with us?
Whe Mr Bru arrived he was in an appalling state, a bag of bones with terrible diarrhoea. He had numerous tests at the vets, and , to cut a long story short, he has inflammatory bowel disease (squirty poo to you and me). Bruno is now on a special diet, plus medication every day - this isn't really too much of a problem as half a mild steroid tablet keeps it under control.
We would love to find a home for him: he loves company, so someone who is at home during the day would be purrfect for him. Of course, any prospective new owner will have to be interviewed by all of his carers (all 15 of us!).
We have now found the best home possible for Bruno - he has been adopted by Emily, a new vet at Riverside. She knows all about inflammatory bowel disease, so he will have his very own vet to care for him!
