From strength to strength

From strength to strength

Here we have a very sad case: Sam who was involved in a car accident and had dislocated his hip joint. Despite his pain he was friendly, purring and even dribbling... he is such a handsome ginger-and-white boy.

The vet checked him over and apart from the dislocated hip joint he is a healthy one-and-a-half-year-old cat. Next up was his X-ray to see how badly damaged his leg was. Unfortunately the hip joint had to be taken out but amazingly he was up and about just a couple of hours after the operation and asking for his dinner.

Every day now we have to give him a good cuddle and make sure we give his leg a massage to strengthen the muscles. He had to have another operation to fix the leg a little more but now he is well on the way to recovery. Each day he gets stronger and stronger on his leg and will soon be looking for a new home.

Sam is just one of many cats that need lots of love and cuddles but have no loving owner looking after them. Let’s hope he finds the home he deserves soon.
