The Derby & District Branch
Neutering Aid Scheme
The Derby and District Branch of Cats Protection offers low cost
neutering vouchers to members of the public who are on a low income.
The vouchers cost cat owners £10 for a female and £5
for a male cat. They are available to anyone in receipt of state
or council benefit or family tax credit.
Vouchers can be obtained from either of the branches charity shops
at 31 The Wardwick or Institute Buildings, North End, Wirksworth.
All owners need to do is pop into either of the charity shops and
bring proof of benefits with them. (not their cat!).
The Branch wants to remind owners who have not yet had their pet
neutered that they are putting them at risk, not only of producing
unwanted litters of kittens, but of contracting deadly feline viruses
such as FIV, Felv etc which are spread by mating and fighting.
The Branch also runs a number of Neuter Days where vouchers are
issued FREE to cat owners on low incomes.
A total of 443 neutering vouchers were issued free to members of the public who were eligible (see above) during our 2007 Neutering Campaign Days.
Neuter Days 2008 - Our Neutering Campaign Days will take place at the Derby Charity Shop, 31 The Wardwick, on the following dates from 1.00 pm until 3.00 pm unless otherwise stated. Please note: These dates may be subject to change due to unforseen circumstances
