All the work done by the Derby & District Branch is
carried out by volunteers and as the saying goes, many hands
make light work!
We are always looking for new volunteers to help our small core
of active team members to help ease the burden and increase the
amount of cat welfare work we carry out.
There are many roles you can volunteer for in different
areas of our work.
Here are some things to consider:
- Do you have a special skill? Maybe you have administration/financial
skills, animal handling skills, public relations, craft skills?
- How much time can you spare? Are you available at weekends,
a couple of hours a week or maybe a whole day? Could you be 'on
call' to help in an emergency?
- Do you have your own transport? Could you help collect cats
or donations?
- Hands on or in the field? Would you like to help work with
people on the fundraising side such as in the shop or at events
or would you like to be out there in wellies helping trap cats
and monitor feral colonies?
Why volunteer?
- There's the great satisfaction of knowing you've helped the
lives of cats and kittens directly
- Learn new skills or find an outlet for established skills
- Meet new people
If you would like to help please phone Catline
on 01332 206956. Alternatively you can fill out
our online volunteer enquiry
form.
Please note to undertake active volunteer roles you must be or
become a member, check out our membership
page for more details - it's well worth joining and all monies
raised go towards carrying out cat welfare work.
